The skies have been amazing the past few days while a storm blew through on Saturday night. No damage, none expected but the chair and camping table blew out into the backyard while luckily the new Mexican table holding my small Weber grill stayed intact. Sunday was too windy to ride a bike, 15mph-20mph with wind gusts that made it hard for me to stand up while standing in the backyard watching the clouds.
I was able to plant some of my new flowers, plants but at the same time I had to watch what was at ground level for my digger Henry. His nose touched that cactus one time and he has not been back to the pot in the corner.
All of these photos were taken with the Canon G9 X. I had to edit out the black spot in a few of the photos. I had listed it on eBay starting at 99 cents no reserve auction and put in the description about the intermittent black spot. One bidder wanted the camera at a huge discount because he didn't see that I described that black spot. So instead of arguing what I wrote or didn't write, I canceled the auction and decided to keep the camera.
Heidi was the only one that let me cut her nails on Saturday. I am finding out with Henry why basset hound nails are long. Henry's nails are growing but that cuticle grows as the nail does with very little nail to trim. Walter's is different and easy to see what to trim ... He wants that vet tech to do his nails not me.
We spent a little time outside after lunch. It was only 57° with cool winds but when the sun was not hidden by the clouds it was nice and warm. Henry woke up to see where the sun went. Feeling cooler we all headed back inside where the three hounds and the dog were in a deep sleep soon after arriving in the computer room.
Good times in the "Wild West".
I think Henry might be smarter than me.
ReplyDeleteNo matter how many times it's happened, I keep getting stuck anyway. . .
He is too smart and giving me a real run for my money.
DeleteNice pictures tonight Steve. Henry is growing up fast and is a good looking hound. You took some beautiful sky photos.

Thanks. Yes he is a great looking hound if I don't say so myself. His lower eyelids are starting to droop this week.
DeleteThe sky in your opening photo is spectacular, good idea keeping that camera.Nice to get some news about y'all. - Mary
ReplyDeleteThat G9 X still does not take photos as good as my iPhone. The Canon Powershot SX70 HS sold this week on eBay.
DeleteI had two laugh out loud moments looking at the photos. First, the one of Henry after the one where he destroyed the plant. Second the one of Walter standing next to his brother from another mother. Both so cute.
ReplyDeleteWe have had wild weather. Friday strong winds and rain overnight. Saturday wind and snow, Sunday more snow with a total of nearly a foot from the two day event. Worked hard with my good friend the shovel and the plow fellow made three passes. It was down to 18 last night and didn't get above 35 today. Winter has arrived a little early this year.
Don't let that look fool you. He is a "monster" right now. I cannot ever remember having a basset hound puppy like him. Mischevious is his real name. Ah that's cold altohough we did get down to 28 the other night while I was sleeping.
DeleteWOW little Henry sure is LOOOOOOOOOOONG... still a very beautiful basset. The Admirer points out to me that his tail matches Winston's tail.
ReplyDeleteTell the Admirer I will go back and check out tail photos to confirm but I don't doubt at all that he is right.
