The past few days have shown some new developments with the hounds and dogs. Watson has finally accepted that there is another bloodhound in the house. He is now one of Cletus's best friends. I did not get a photo of it but it was official Saturday morning when Watson had his front paw on the side of Cletus's head when he was laying down, while licking and cleaning Cletus's face. They are also playing more outside one on one.
He moves around the house quietly. He has a great deep loud bloodhound bark. He will go off on his own and take naps in various spots in the house. He likes Watsons dog bed in my bedroom. He gets along with everyone. All that makes it hard to believe he was a stray wandering the streets when they caught him.
Walter is typical Walter.
This morning the temps hovered around 46° but that didn't seem to bother the hounds and dogs. All Walter wanted was to relieve himself but Ava thought otherwise. She was dying to find someone to play with her this morning but the crew just wasn't that interested.
It will be the normal Football Saturday. My IU team plays at 2:30pm CT but I have good games to watch at 11am, 2:30pm, 6:00pm and at 9:30pm. It is going to rain over night, so the first Phase I of the 2024 Leaf Project might not start until Monday.
Of course if I leave them outside, as soon as I let them in on the clean floor .. I have to wonder "why"?? No, it is not an option to wipe off 20 paws every time they come back inside.
I also plan to let the bare areas of the yard work naturally over the winter and then plant seed next march right before the spring rains and growing season. The leaves are falling late this year and I never overseed until the last leaf is gone. This year it looks like it will pass the deadline for planting grass seed in the fall. I guess I should have done that before the leaves started falling.
Off to my morning project this morning. I am getting under the kitchen sink and cleaning lines with hopes of better water pressure for the kitchen sink. There are three different connections under the faucet that I am told need to be cleaned out ... so hopefully I can get this done before college football kickoff at 11am.
The weather continues to be great in "the tropics" of Southern Indiana.
