Is Spring Here ?????

I know it is not March yet but today sure did seem like a March or April day. 65° had me, the hounds and dogs outside on the patio for a while. Of course whenever I could come inside for water, they would get up and follow me in. Now that I am typing this, they are all taking their afternoon siesta.

The Port Of Evansville

These plates describe just this area of the Port of Evansville. It was much larger than just the Pigeon Creek area where they have built a monument and the start of the Gateway bike path in the city. It will be interesting to see in the future if the walking/bike path is maintained. The previous mayor was a bicycle enthusiast. The current mayor pulled funds back for the extension of the bike path, so it will remain to be seen. 

Went To See The Ohio River

It was such a nice day at 54° that I had to get out of the house. I grabbed my camera, and headed out west right after the hounds and dogs finished their lunch. I left the patio door open just enough for them to go outside and inside as they needed or wanted to.

Our First Tornado Watch Of The New Year

7:45pm -- it did not even rain here ... everything was 100 miles or so north of us.

We have had our first "Watch" issued today until 8pm tonight. That means there are conditions that could lead to tornadoes but most of the storm activity forecasted seems to be 50-100 miles north of us. Looks like it is going to rain here in the next 30 minutes but I went to take some photos of the sky a while ago.

New Year Blog Thoughts & Additions

In typical Indiana weather fashion, temperatures rose to 66° yesterday. Cletus shook out all of his winter allergies and got that loose skin of his ready for a nice day outside. Window blinds were opened for the first time in weeks, then the windows came open along with the patio door so the dogs could go in and out when they wanted. The weather was that nice yesterday.

Super Bowl Sunday 2016

I will watch the Super Bowl game today until it is not close. I will not watch any pre-game nor post game. Not a chance that I will watch the halftime show. No photos on this post ... just a link from Super Bowl Sunday in 2016 ... ten years ago.

The Snow Is Melting

Ava is growing in front of my eyes, getting bigger. I still think she will be on the smaller side of a female German Shepherd because of her mom. The dad was a large male but she looks like her mom in color and build. These two are becoming closer friends to each other. To the point that Walter now chases Ava around the house when he is in the mood to play.

Slowly Getting Warmer

We have finally broken the code for freezing weather this morning. Temps are heading slowly back to our normal mild winter temperatures. In ten days they tell me it will be up to 56°. With it being 32° right now a lot of this snow will start melting. It already has since that photo is from January 26th.
