A Lot Has Happened In June

A lot has happened since my last post. I will not go into the details but simply those that need to know ... know. I wasn't sure I was even going to post on the blog this month but just in case, I added photos as the month progressed. They are in order as June went from the 1st to the 27th.

Honestly I do not know if I will continue to blog. I guess time will tell. All I know is that my body and mind are recalibrating and once that is finished things I was interested in before, I may not be interested in doing anymore. If so, there will not be a farewell blog post, this would be the last one.

Things are all good for all of us here in "the tropics" of Southern Indiana.

  1. I do hope you continue to publish occasionally. I always enjoy the pups' photos & your relating of their antics. If you have too much on your plate, though, I can relate... Take care of yourself & those precious babies.

    1. There does not seem to be enough hours in the day anymore. Plus some new things going on, okay things. I am open minded though and have changed my mind about this blog over the years. So we will see what happens. The competition is my private blog which I have kept just as long as this one. It is a good reference on all kind of things when I can't remember how to do things. But on this blog time will tell. Writing is good for the soul and I enjoy this blog.

  2. Life moves on, things change, but I would miss seeing the menagerie. (I can't believe you added a dog to the collection of hounds while I was off dealing with life!)

    1. I cannot believe it either. It was more of a favor to a relative. I've always stuck with hounds until I bought Walter in 2019 ... Like I said above, I'll see what time brings. It might turn into a blog like I did the other day with little content and a lot of photos. Thanks for reading the blog.

  3. Steve I would miss your posts and all the pictures of your crew. Have looked forward to hearing about the crew and what they have been up to. I can understand if you wish to stop blogging.
Your plate is full with dogs and being a home owner...it never ends.
Keeping a blog going has to be a lot of work.
You take care of yourself and wishing you the best.

    1. Keep up with five dogs and home stuff, you are right the home stuff never ends LOL. I have a private blog I have kept as long as this one, mainly as a reference to my decreasing memory cells as time passes. I will see what happens. I have quit a few times before but always came back because I did miss posting photos of the hounds and dogs for people. Time will tell I guess.

  4. I'm with the other commenters, you and the crew would be missed. You do all the work, and I get to read your blog and eat ice cream so it's understandable that you might need a break. So whatever you decide thanks for all the great reads and take care. Vern in Boise

  5. I sure hope that you don't stop blogging. I need my doggie fix that I get through all of your wonderful photos of the crew. Consider a new post now and again to keep all your readers happy. The photo of Walter stretched out on the carpet with his tongue sticking out is priceless. Take care and please reconsider.

  6. What they all said above plus a big thanks for giving me a doggie fix as mine passed away a few years ago. Enjoyed getting to know their characters, to see them grow and fit into the pack. Hope your health is still going good. It was also nice to see someone else with my views on politics and the healthcare system. Take care, Steve.

    1. Health is better than ever after some recent fixes. I have never felt better. Just finished my morning walk in thick humidity. OH LOL ... I rarely speak about my political views and the healthcare system anymore ... that started quite the fire storm. I need peace in my life not firestorms. LOL I will say the healthcare system surprised me and we are good with them.

    2. Firestorms. I can't understand why people I love can't have a meaniful conversation about things anymore. So triggered by so many things. I have to call them now and watch what I say. Like walking on eggshells. Glad you are good with the docs and feeling great.

  7. I hope you if you decide to stop posting that you reconsider and post updates once in awhile. I enjoy your post and will miss them.

    1. I understand how the blog that seems boring to me at times, is enjoyed by many others. From comments to emails I receive I have always known to a few it is important to them. I am thinking the suggestion of "now and then" might be workable for me. Just not a lot of time in the daily schedule anymore to build a blog post.
