I continue to check off things on my house "to do" list but also have time to take photos of the hounds and dogs over the past few days. I've been asked "how do you handle so many dogs" ... well I walk them individually except Walter, who will not walk.
They basically take care of themselves during the day and are usually asleep for the night by 7:30pm every night. They play together, sleep and then surround me anytime I am sitting outside or lying in the middle of the bicycle room floor. We do that daily. Handling five of them is pretty easy actually.
So, nothing but photos this post.
Beautiful weather here in "the tropics" of Southern Indiana.

Wonderful photos, thanks for sharing all of them. Vern
ReplyDeleteIt is back to being really hot again even now at 4:45pm ... so it was perfect timing to take some photos this week when it was cooler. You're welcome.
DeleteTerrific photos of the hounds and dogs. I just love Henry's expressive eyes, they always bring a smile to my face and then there is Walter who marches to his own drum Great crew you have!
ReplyDeleteHenry had great eyes and facial expressions. He can beg with the best of them with those looks he gives me. Walter isn't going to bother for any photo shoot when it is semi-hot outside. He goes outside just to relieve himself, then sprints back to the door to come inside. Not photo worthy. LOL They are a good group to live with.
DeleteHenry is such a beauty. They all are but Henry has stolen our hearts here. Walter, he just cracks me up, "Won't walk" that's funny. He always has had a mind of his own. I remember that from SV. We love them all, but ya know, the Admirer loves Henry.
ReplyDeleteHenry has a little Winston blood flowing through him. Thinks he is a 90 lb lap dog and liked trying to lay up on my shoulder like he did as a puppy. Can't try that anymore since that is my pacemaker side. Walter has a personality of his own and everybody like Walter around here. I know and understand why the Admirer loves basset hounds.
DeleteGreat photos of your crew Steve they all have their own personality but Walter's personality cracks me up.
ReplyDeleteSue
Thanks. Yes Walter is hilarious. He always goes out the front door with me when I go to the mailbox across the street but he will never cross the street, only sit in the driveway and watch me. Never runs off. Never barks at passing cars or trucks, yet has zero interest in taking a walk.
DeleteIf you are in research mode regarding supplements, etc for health reasons, I wanted to let you know that I just subscribed to a site called Consumerlab.com. They test, do product reviews, give warnings, address health conditions, and have interesting articles as well. It's not just about supplements but food items and other things too. I've also found that Chat Gpt can be very helpful with information, especially if I keep asking questions... Bethers
ReplyDeleteDue to the 4 year old chip in my iMac I cannot download ChatGpt. Thanks for the site. I am always looking to see which supplements work with Plavix. I'll bookmark that site.
DeleteJeez... so you can't even go to the chatgpt.com website with a browser? Maybe some of the other chatbots would work, but so far I like ChatGPT the best...Bethers
DeleteI must have been brain dead, I had not thought of that way of doing it. Thanks for the suggestion. I just signed up for free and have it bookmarked. Now, is it better than Grok? Only 475,000 subscribers for ChatGPT but millions for Grok.
DeleteI don’t know where the 475,000 number comes from, but I just asked ChatGpt and it said it has millions of subscribers and Grok also has millions of users. I kind of bounce between chatbots depending on what they have to say about what I'm asking about. I like to get a variety of opinions I guess… But I have found that they all can make mistakes.
Deletejust stopped by to see what chores the boys have you doing this week. The admirer has me trying to get a bunch of paperwork done and finish packing his suitcase. He is ready for a flight to England, and a cruise to Germany. I will send you a link to our pages as soon as I get them ready. hug the boys for us, they all show a personality through your photos, and one can become lost in thought looking at them and trying figure out their thoughts!!! We love them boys a lot.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you have a beautiful trip ahead of you. Thanks for your link when you send it, I will look forward to seeing your trip. Five different personalities and they all get along, even sharing bones, sleeping spots and playing in the back. I think Walter has the closest look of a human of all of them. He is a thinker for sure. I will give them a hug and a pat on their head for you and the admirer.
