These plates describe just this area of the Port of Evansville. It was much larger than just the Pigeon Creek area where they have built a monument and the start of the Gateway bike path in the city. It will be interesting to see in the future if the walking/bike path is maintained. The previous mayor was a bicycle enthusiast. The current mayor pulled funds back for the extension of the bike path, so it will remain to be seen.
All of these photos were take at an angle due to the bright sunshine. I tried my best to find the angle where all the descriptions could be read.
It was another great day here in "the tropics" of Southern Indiana with temps into the mid 60s.
