Hounds & Dog Like AC

As usual the day started early with Watson sleeping through the night. Totally amazing for a hound that is not even 9 weeks old yet. (Monday) They went outside long enough to check some of the area before they had breakfast and were back at it soon after. I need a fence and once I have one installed the hounds and the dog will love running free, full speed. I had a few things I wanted to do today that related to my '57 VW bug, so I was at AutoZone a little after 7:30am to pick up three quarts of oil. 

A Little Excitement On Thursday

Since I posted last Wednesday, it has been an interesting four days and Sunday isn't over yet. I will say the hounds and the dog continue to get better in the yard when they see neighbors outside. Henry is always on his long cord that stretches to the property line in different directions. Stella hangs out in the yard free of any leash UNLESS I walk inside to do something quick and by that time she is in the backyard two houses over. Walter hangs out with me in front or back and doesn't bolt if he sees someone out front. He WILL go to the neighbors yard if he sees them, only to get petted one time and then comes trotting back home so proud.

Miller Canyon Winter Exploration

I knew there would not be that much snow "up there" yet. I knew from growing up in Indiana with a VW bug that they were good in snow. I had no doubt that I could make it to the turn around on Miller Canyon. Based on what the weather was like would determined if I went to Montezuma Pass. I waited for two cups of coffee to be consumed, let the hounds and the dog out a few times and then grabbed my Nikon, my iPhone and took off.
