The Tree Is Gone

First of all I'd like to apologize to any readers that have possibly had a hard time reading my blog due to the "gray" color font. I have no idea when that changed. I have no idea if I made the change and if I did, how long ago? So this morning I changed the font color to black. The blog posts should be easier to read now.

As it warmed up on Saturday, into the 40s ... I grabbed my rake, trash can and pruning saw to get that tree limb out of my side yard. If found out not only were two of the limbs were buried deep into the ground after falling around 50' ... but after cutting off limbs, the trunk of the limb was heavy. So heavy I could barely drag it to the back berm.

Yet, within 45 minutes the yard look like this instead of the photo below.

A Lot Of Surprises This Week

It did not seem like it at the time but sitting here on a Saturday night a little after 7pm local time, there were a few surprises this week. One surprise is I am writing a LONG blog post with a MILLION PHOTOS. I am also going to try an experiment loading the photos because I want to insert tonight's hounds activity in between some of the ones I have loaded early ... I have just decided the hound photos will be after these next few photos. I say hounds because Walter is not pictured but one time and I will explain why in tonight's post.

Day After Fence Cleanup

I realize it is the day before Thanksgiving and the guy going to send me a quote is probably on holiday routine which is fine. In fact it might prove to be a good thing.  From the get go once I had those screws handed to me last night I knew I could put that fence back the way it was. It took me no more than 10 minutes to hammer the post lower, adjust the horizontal rods as I went and then screw in the six screws. It felt just as stable as it did before.
