Cold Temps Have Arrived


Cletus shows you just how much he loves Watson's love seat. I think you can tell he finds sleeping there much more comfortable than sleeping in the streets during the weeks he was wandering the streets of Salem Indiana before they caught him. August 23rd the bloodhound trainer and manager of the Greene County Shelter picked him up and took him to his house to train and live.

15° Makes A HUGE Difference

Can you believe I cut this hydrangea back to the ground every fall? I was told by a landscaping company that looked at what I wanted done when I moved in May 2021, the Hydrangea root system spreads so much that if they were to pull them out of the ground, my whole side yard might be destroyed. So I cut them back every fall and have kept them.

Dog Crate Possession

Friday was a day of battling the heat and deciding who owns the dog crate. Early morning cool enough to leave the patio door open but the majority of time it is closed with the AC on during these hot temperatures. I did get the yard mowed for the week. No calls nor repairs to lingering storm damage. Reds game ends in a weird and exciting way, with a win. Ava walked in the crate on her own and laid down.

Another beautiful day here in the "Wild West" but there are over 300 of them in a calendar year so it's expected I guess. I'm a little late tonight because the day was just that busy.
