Stella's Thursday Morning Walk

Following my blog policy I mentioned the other day of "blogging when I feel like it" ... here is a morning post about Stella's walk. I received a photo article in my Feedly account this morning about Nikon AutoFocus. I found some adjustments I could make on my camera from that article. I only did one but it was not mentioned in the article but found as I was looking through my camera setup for something else. It had a setting for telephoto lenses, which I used at all times, the Tamron 18-200mm.

I did a little editing on most of the photos like I always do but one thing I did not do was go into the HTML of this post and change the size of the photo back to s1600 from the compressed size s640 that Blogger does automatically. Let me know if you notice any difference in the sharpness even in these low light morning. Apple Photos has a very detailed editing program that is free and comes with the program.

The owner of the field made a lap around the edge of his field Tuesday afternoon. The tire tracks from his truck has given Stella a whole new set of scents to follow. You can barely see one of those tracks in front of her nose.

Mid 50's ... overcast for today.

She thought she heard me mention food ... but she was wrong.

Another walk into the books. It's already Thursday.

Sitting at my kitchen table I saw this in the southwest skies. You could almost think I was witnessing a plane crash from this angle.

Pulling back that zoom, you could see it was just a plane heading southwest, possibly decreasing altitude on its approach to the St. Louis airport a couple of hundred miles away.

I hope to be motivated enough today to clean some walls. Yes the same walls I mentioned a few days ago. I've been pretty lazy these past few days after my big day of working out in the yard and on the roof cleaning my gutters earlier in the week.

A dark overcast morning in 'the tropics' of Southern Indiana.

The Hounds Enjoying This Fall Weather

The last three to four days Heidi will walk to the door to let me know she wants to go outside. Yesterday I took these first three photos from inside the kitchen window through the screen. I didn't want to walk outside and have her decide to move. She has always liked sitting under the sunshine and many times will sit out there an hour and more. Sometimes she will do this while Stella and I take our afternoon walks. It's not in the 60's today but nice enough to be outside.

This morning Stella was excited to go on the walk again. She doesn't hop up and down like Sadie did with excitement but does whine and wag her tail when she sees me getting ready to go.

Early afternoon I wasn't sure the hounds would be doing much the rest of the day, just like me. I've been pretty lazy today. I probably need to go to the library and find more books to read since I see nothing on my shelves that I want to read.

Sunny but mid 50's.

Heidi wasn't interested in taking the afternoon walk with Stella and I but she had some other plans.

I asked her one last time if she wanted to go.

As I about about to veer left on the path to start the walk I barely caught Heidi looking out at the field.

In the meantime Stella was way out in front.

By the time Stella and I returned, Heidi was ready to go back inside.

Here are a few photos from the last couple of days.

AT&T tower that close to my house but they tell me they do not service my area for their unlimited data plan they show on their mailers they send me to come back to Directv with a $300 Visa gift card.

As I mowed my yard the other day .. he was 'mowing' taller corn stalks making it easier to plow in a few weeks, before winter.

Another good day here in 'the tropics' of Southern Indiana.

Heidi Enjoying The Sunshine

The last few days Heidi has been going to the door to be let outside between 2pm and 3pm. She will not go far. She finds a good spot to feel the warm sunshine. The first three photos I took yesterday through the screen window from inside.
