This post will be fairly short but at least will explain where I have been. A week ago on Tuesday morning around 4:30am, half asleep, walking Watson to the yard so he could pee. He woke me up to go out. I did not know that he had tipped over the water bowl that sent water across the slick tile floor. I slipped and fell on the wet tile floor in the kitchen, hit the back of my head. Today is the first day I have made it through the day without taking medication or laying in bed or on a recliner.
It is not my first concussion but hopefully my last. I could not remember the others being this bad. The real effect didn't hit me until Thursday night about 10pm with severe pain in my head that did not stop until Saturday around 3pm. I did get it check out for any fractures but I have a hard head I guess and was sent home. I drove around town today to do some errands and did not take any kind of medication.
The hounds and the dog knew something was wrong but once the day starts all three are in normal activity although they slept when I slept this past week. Walter was in charge and he is actually the one dog I heard barking when I came conscious.
I did not know what had happened. Didn't know where I was. Once I figured out it was not a dream by the pain in my head, I could see I was in a house. I did not know what town or state that house was located in or even who's house it was. I looked at a piece of mail when the dogs came back inside, to see what the address was. I immediately went back to bed, which I am told I should not have done, and tried to sleep when I could.
At least the temps are dropping about 10° this week so it will be great weather here in "the tropics" of Southern Indiana.
