Another Great Day For The Hounds
After lunch today we spent some time sitting outside. I could feel it was getting really hot and knew the hounds wouldn't stay outside to long. Stella couldn't decide whether to take a nap or go back inside. Her answer is shown below. Even with the window shades closed the AC was still working overtime this afternoon. As a test I turned it off and within 30 minutes the temperature inside the house increased by 6°, just a little before 1pm.
I fast forwarded through today's stage of the Tour de France. I thought of taking a drive somewhere but couldn't decide where to go. I thought about reading but didn't complete a page. I was hungry for lunch but couldn't decide what to eat. I guess it's one of those days for Stella and I, trying to decide what we want to do, with no answer.
After lunch photos are below.
I am going to go against what I read a month of so ago in that DYI article. I am not going to wait for low humidity. Right after the hound walk on Monday morning I will start on my long list of 'to do'. I am feeling motivated enough that I might not wait that long. The TOF is over Sunday morning so my mornings will be free when the temps are cooler.
It will be another night of baseball games on tv tonight.
August is just a few days away here in 'the tropics' of Southern Indiana.

Heidi Decides It's The Perfect Temperature
Heidi has spent some time in the yard, more than what I talk about. There are many afternoons that she will spend time in the yard snooping around while the bloodhounds and I take an afternoon walk. Usually by the time I make it back to the yard she is rolling around growling at herself ... then stands and wags her tail when she sees us. I don't have the camera with me during those times.
She decided today it was nice right after lunch to spend some time outside. Sadie roamed the yard, and Stella took a hot gravel after lunch nap. Toward the end I cut Heidi's nails. She will lay there and raise her paw without any resistance.
It was the same TOF routine ... 2 cups of coffee while reading the internet, a hound walk, breakfast, watch the TOF and today we had a Reds game on by 12:30pm. (Thanks Twitter for reminding me).
It was another fine day here in 'the tropics' of Southern Indiana today.
Heidi Enjoys The Sunshine
After weeks of hibernation due to high temperatures, Heidi finally came outside and stayed longer than just a normal pee break. She found a good spot on the brown grass instead of a patch of green grass. When I asked if she wanted her nails trimmed she rolled on her side and lifted her front paw. Sadie roamed the yard, and Stella took a short after lunch nap. There were other afternoons where Heidi would roam the yard while the bloodhounds and I took our late afternoon walk ... so she didn't hibernate that much.
