A perfect weather day that finds me, the hounds and the dogs doing a lot of nothing. We go out when we want, hang inside with cooler air conditioned air when we want and not much else. I see it is already a little after 2pm when I took these photos so we may not do anything else either. It's great to do nothing.
I think Henry's growth on his tail shrunk a few millimeters last night but that just may be me hoping. He is all normal though and doesn't even know what is being said about it.
Like us, AT&T is doing nothing also, about their spliced internet fiber cables. I don't expect them to do anything either until the AT&T customer on this line loses internet service some day. I will let that box lay where it landed after I tossed it out of my lawn mowers way into the bushes.
Astound internet is also doing nothing. The new "priority" work order they made to get their cable raised did nothing and went nowhere. I doubt if they do anything either. I might have to make its own blog post that says nothing but Astound Interent Sucks !! LOL, over and over and over for a full page or repeated chants. It's only fair I think since they keep sending their mailer for $20 per month internet service. That makes good recycling material.
This is my neighbor's really old oak tree. It was trimmed either last fall, summer? 2023? It shades the southern part of the backyard. All of us enjoy the shade on a hot summer day.
Baseball was the game of today. They didn't want to fetch or play with any bone that was tossed, they were only interested in baseball.
By the time I loaded and increased the size of all the baseball photos, Watson had already tore the cover off the baseball and wasn't letting anyone get near it.
A very nice day here in "the tropics" of Southern Indiana today.
I continue to be amazed about the lack of customer service and follow through in today's world. How do these businesses stay open?
ReplyDeleteWell your day about doing nothing showed great photos of the gang and having fun with the baseball. My Black Lab loved tennis balls, our desert neighbor had a bucket of used ones in his garage that he kept for her. She was allowed to pick out one and he would toss it for her, however if it went in the street she stood on the curb waiting for us to retrieve it for her. Nice memory.
That is a smart dog you had. My only concern is Watson accidentally swallowing a baseball because the ball disappears in his mouth when he had it, completely hidden. I am going to look for a bigger ball today on my trip to a couple of pet stores. Memories of our dogs are never forgotten. I can remember things in detail with my very first basset hound, Harry in 1987.
