Just a short post this morning to show we still have a pulse and I have made some changes to my blog sidebar, plus adding more posts to fill in the empty space that was created with the long list of "blog topics". I will go through and decrease that list to something more readable.
This was Walter a year ago, so you can see not much has changed the past year as far as morning routines. I will post later today with hounds and dogs photos but just wanted to get this post out this morning as an update.
Also a great story here, by someone that experienced the NC hurricane and lived to tell about it plus he adds a fantastic list of things to have to survive in an emergency situation. A LOT of good information on his blog side bar also ... take a look. Keep scrolling on his side bar, a LOT of stuff to look at.
Thanks Ed for sending that to me.
Now for some other stuff.
My friend sold his canoe yesterday to a young man that has everything to camp off grid with this wife and three kids. That trailer is a Patriot Trailer and one of the finest off grid trailers I have seen. He said they were heading out this weekend for a camping trip where everything would be used as it was designed to be used.
That house in the background, the tall narrow portion, is the original farm house of this neighborhood area. The area includes much more than just my street. 62 homes were built on this farm in 1956-1958. Some homes like mine have additional rooms built on them ... but all the houses I have seen have been in great shape after 66 years.
I'll be back later tonight with a new blog post. Check out the new additions to the sidebar.
It's going to be another beautiful day here in "the tropics" of Southern Indiana today.
