Thanks to Barney suggesting the other day I do some research on backlit photos, that led me to go over all the settings on my Nikon D3500 and I changed a few things from what I found. Consequently my photos today look just like they did when the camera was new. I had not been happy with the quality of the photos for a long time. Of course these were taken mid day on a bright sunny day, so lighting made a difference too. Still I can tell a big difference in quality.
I apologize if the blog is not downloading fast as it did before on your device. If that is what is going on, it's because when I changed my photo settings to a larger size, of course the file size looks like it has doubled in size ... yet there is a huge difference in picture quality with that change. Let me know if you have any issues with the larger size photos on your device.
I will be tuning into the first Cincinnati Reds Spring Training game today on tv at 2pm local time. The pizza has been ordered and should arrive about game time. It arrived as I was trying to finish the post so they were at the front door with high anticipation. There wasn't anything in my kitchen I was hungry for.
When I say "pizza" ... the hounds and the dog sprint for the patio door to stay outside until after the delivery. They then get pieces of the crust while I eat. Outside, day or night, rain or snow, in any month prevents them from going insane crazy at the front door when the deliver shows up.
It is a very cool but sunny day today in "the tropics" of Southern Indiana.
Those are some top quality photos for sure!
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteThanks you. When my old eyes could tell the difference, I knew others would see the differences too.
DeleteReally great photos and everything worked just like it always does when I read the post.
ReplyDeleteWell, Wednesday through Saturday AM, the NWS says we had 36" of snow and today we had at least 30"more It's suppose to stop shortly and tomorrow will be a day of rest from snow before it starts again on Monday. Fortunately I have a fellow to shovel this year and he had everything cleared before today's event. These storms have closed the mountain with no one allowed to come up. If you go down the mountain, you won't be allowed to come back up as the roads aren't plowed. It is so quiet outside.
In a way I bet it is beautiful to see. Quiet with piles of deep white snow.
DeletePics are great, definitely improved- animals look just fine, relaxed & enjoying their yard.Cheers.
ReplyDeleteThanks. I thought the improvement was enough that even my old eyes caught it. It is a pretty good place for the animals. Plenty of scents for them in this rural part of town, neighbor feeds a lot of birds and the squirrels keep Watson busy.
