AT&T Will Not Stop

Around 9am Sunday I received this text from AT&T --- "Hi, it's AT&T again. We confirm that your appointment is now on Saturday 07/20. Our tech is scheduled to arrive between 4pm - 8pm. Add to calendar: link

Late Saturday night they called me and strangely enough gave me a number to call to make AT&T stop contacting me about their missed appointment. But no problem today. With my change in attitude I am not stressed about any of it anymore. They will fix it when they do and they will tear the yard up again when they back their heavy truck to the pole on Monday.

Doesn't matter.

This is what the hounds and dogs did most of Sunday. By 4:15pm it was still extremely hot outside, 94° and the "feels like" only 97° with 51% humidity.

This ended up being all I came up with Sunday. The hounds and Ava really didn't stay outside long, besides to do what they needed to do and they were back at the door to come inside. It was just that hot.

Two things happening today where there might be the same kind of blog post or no post at all. I was notified by a AT&T text this morning that I have used 75% of my new wireless plans 5Gb of data, since I have been using it as a hotspot to run my internet service. IF I need more of course I can pay, which I won't. Then they slow the speed to 128K ... Kbps ... that is old 1990s dial up speed there.

But the cable guys will be here today. Will they finish early enough to close their work order which will automatically send AT&T out to flip the fiber internet from the old cable that is laying cut off the pole in the yard .. to the new cable hanging on the pole? That is the process the AT&T tech rep told me over the phone Saturday night.

I don't see that happening within hours ... nor within days. I might have to pay for more data for the phone hotspot after all.

It is going to another hot day and Wunderground Weather says "nearly the same as yesterday" here in "the tropics" of Southern Indiana.

    1. Thanks Sue. They know how to operate in this hot weather. They know how to stay hydrated and they MIGHT now this stuff starts to cool down on Wednesday ... with more rain tonight.

  2. So disheartening to hear of the postponement of your service. I just don't understand how in today's world this can happen. I am assuming this affects your ability to watch your games, etc. or is that a separate cable? Good luck.

    1. After they confirmed I had canceled that July 20th appointment THEY gave me, late this morning they sent me another tech appointment. If you read my post tonight about my day today you will see it would have made no difference because the cable hangers on Friday NEVER showed up today. I have been listening to Reds games on radio on my phone. I have 4 network channels from the $32 GE antenna on my wall.
